If you don't need to transport a lot of people (like you and maybe one other person) or a lot of stuff, but you are looking for something sporty, then a coupe is the right choice for you.
Used Coupe Buying Guide
A coupe is a car that has only two doors and a fixed roof. A coupe may or may not have a back seat but, if there is a back seat, it is difficult to get to because there are only two doors. Some popular vehicles that come in a four-door sedan or hatchback option also have a two-door coupe option. When that is the case, the coupe is generally shorter than the same model with four doors. They also, characteristically, don't have a lot of trunk space either. The coupe is made to be driven and to enjoy the ride.
Some two seater coupes include the classic Chevrolet Corvette, the Nissan 370Z, and the Ferrari 488GTB. Like we said, sporty.
Coupes with a second row, for occasional passengers, include the legendary Ford Mustang and some luxury models like the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C Class.
Coupes dominate the car market in two areas. First, they look good. When a Ferrari or a nice Corvette drives by, it will always get a second look. The second reason a coupe deserves your attention is the ride they create. The small, low design make coupes easy accelerate, stop, turn, maneuver, etc. They are great fun to drive, especially when you have some wide open space to let them loose. The trade off is that you lose passenger and cargo space. But if those are not priorities for you, the coupe is hard to beat.
